Weight Watchers

Ok, so the main reason I have really gained such an interest in finding a healthier lifestyle is my participation in Weight Watchers. I have been a member for 7 months, and I have lost about 30 pounds. It has been a slow process, but I wouldn't change a thing. I am slowly but surely changing my LIFESTYLE! It is really exciting, and I will share more about it in the next week.

Discovering Yoga

One of my latest ventures in discovering a healthier lifestyle has been through yoga. My biggest draw to yoga is the fact that it can increase muscle tone and flexibility. However there are so many more benefits that I didn't even no about!!!!

So far I have tried a yoga class at 24 hour fitness---it was NOT for beginners, I ended up way to sore.

After this this I headed to Yoga Alley, in Lee's Summit, MO for some beginner's classes. This was a whole different experience, and I felt AMAZING after this class. I have been back since!

My third venture was by using ITunes. They have some amazing podcasts and video podcasts for beginner and advanced yogis. My current fave is YogAmazing!!


If you are looking to start up with yoga, I have one piece of advice: do not push yourself too far. Listen to your body, and don't try to go too far or you will end up in PAIN. And that is not what yoga is all about.
